New Approaches

What makes CW stand out amongst generic e-feds is its ability to adapt to the ever changing internet environment. The e-fed not only adapts technologically, but we also adapt to the ever changing demands, interests and expectations of the targeted audience by introducing compelling storylines- gutsy and re-memorable angles and of course- our one-of-a-kind breathtaking events.

Change has to happen for many reasons as said but also to keep the game even more interesting. Unlike other places stuck in the stone ages that only know how to emulate with very minimal knowledge of the technology or attempts at creating compelling (and interesting lol) stories- CW takes risks both in-story and out-of-game so that there is an evolution of the mind and evolution of the game mechanics that we created in our sport.

The new approach that CW is taking is an extensive focus on its main storyline and B4Pro Division. While the main events have always been an important aspect to our game- we find that our audience requires even more freedom to play their titles when/how as oppose to waiting for an event to happen. And often times an event requires the player to hold off on their storyline in order to complete their matches.

So as of now, CW will be temporarily holding off on events with exception to: B4Pro, CW Platinum and CreatureMania.

Players who want to battle it out can at anytime by using the Infiltrate Board. As a result, STF rule still remains the same as does how a player wins a title using the contendership requirements but the STF will be extended by a couple of months.

This format will be considered the CW Off-Season- to allow players to take a break from constant events and to focus on character/storyline development.

The NSA

One of these changes is the NSA. Which has drastically taking shape in CW. It is yet another CW original idea which pushes the envelope and brings together newer and fresher possibilities to the table. Similar to the ECF- the NSA  provides another perspective to the genre which has endless creative potential.

The NSA thus far has been silently working in the background and through Chane McMahon. But now, the NSA’s leader… Reverend Jones has taken center stage. Ominous, methodical and calculating- Reverend Jones is a triple threat. What makes this character so much more different than any other PTB is the fact that we know so little about him while he slowly rises to power. Is he here for good? is he here for bad? And what exactly IS NSA… one striking answer came from a letter directed at Charon Death stating that NSA is in fact a cover up.

The ever changing drama for control over the greatest federation on this  planet has now entered a brand new chapter!

The NEW Evangelion

Woah. What the heck has gone wrong with our beloved heroine, Charon Death?

Ever since Charon volunteered to take part in F’ein Dacor’s bizarre experiments- she has without a doubt transformed into something which is otherworldly. And at each turn of the dice, she becomes more and more out of tune with her creatureanity. The Evangelion Project is a something taken out of science-fiction but there is no fiction about Charons new and powerful form.

There is little information released about the new Evangelion- and the first appearance was at the CW conference which is taking shape as you read. Eva’s body is no longer a dance between flesh and metal– the being has transcended the laws of science and has merged organic seamlessly with technology. Exactly what was F’ein and Queen Lilith were thinking when they created this new Evangelion? What purpose does Eva even bring? How far along is Charon’s independence of the mind? Who controls who?

We are still at a lost because there is still the question of what is to become of Crimson and Angel? Do not forget that Lilith is yearns to become closely acquainted with the  Death Children for the sole purpose of escaping her Dreamworld and reentering ours.

The entanglement between the NSA, Evangelion and the fate of CW as we know it is at hand. The only way to know who will win is to sit and watch with shocks shooting up your spine!

Boy it has been a very busy couple of months for CW and especially for myself. First off, thank  you everybody who has supported and helped me along the way these past 3~4 years while completing my master’s degree. Thanks for your understanding and patience during these busy times.

Next, the e-fed itself. First I want to explain more why we went back to the bspeak board from going back to the network54 board lol. Transitioning from a board you used that housed the bulk of your game play is not an easy task. It is also extremely risky because this game play requires an threaded format- and most modern boards are not threaded format =/ (trust me I researched and hunted down/tried dozens looking for one). But the need to expand and the need to provide something unique and oh-my-gosh different (*hint*to our so-called competitors*endhint*) was the reason why wanted a different type of board but at the same time provided the threaded format.

The CW role-playing suffered somewhat from the bpseak’s format which was why we went back to the network54 for little over a year until we reached the 10th anniversary. That was reason #1. Reason #2 was that I wanted to end the network54 board on a good note and reaching a decade was a very good reason!!! During our time on the last years of network54, me and Charon along with players (past and present), produced the best compelling and consistent stories that this sport has ever since in years. In fact, I believe that the stories produced between me and Charon dwarfed most stories that was completed in the CWE days. And that is mind blowing.

We had a small roster and we did the very best for what was given to us and we took it to the extra mile and beyond producing quality stories. However, the need for expansion is what brought us back to the bspeak board along with the fact that actually paying money on a monthly basis for a board that hasn’t been updated in over 7 years really doesn’t make any sense.

So the bspeak board was brought and revamped which was the most ambitious project CW E-Fed has ever undertaken. With the new board, comes new focuses and let’s talk about them next!!

Storylines Thus Far

The aftermath of the Virus/Sincentius Saga- which hands down was the longest, strongest and most developed story in the history of this sport- brought forth a new story which takes us back to the bizarre universe of Neo-Earth, Lilith, Charon and her kids. At the end of the Virus Saga, Crimson was abducted by pre-Eva Machines commanded by Drkside (a hired mercenary by F’ein Dacor). Afterward, Charon went well… nuttier than usual to put it mildly… into finding her daughter. The first clue was that the Scientists were robbing banks but was it coincidence that they happen to rob the same bank that Charon visits regularly? This eludes to the fact that EVA Corp has a base of operations here on Earth but where and how?

Furthermore, Charon’s dormant nanobots…. the same nanobots that were injected into her body by the first Evangelion (Markus)…. re-activated upon the presence of the Scientists and pre-eva models. What could this all mean? Eventually, Charon meet up with F’ein and offered herself to become the next Eva… in exchange for Crimson’s safe return. But we all knew that F’ein would never live up to his side of the deal…. and sure enough, not only was Charon “acquired” but Crimson was used in extensive Limelight experiments.

In the meantime, Drkside has done what he has to distract Moebius, Darkspade and Brandon from uncovering the truth and to prevent them from rescuing anybody. But what Drkside and F’ein did not know was that our heroes came across a key that could lead them directly into Neo-Earth………………………….. Gunther’s mullet? O_________o

But as the tale unfolds, even more mysteries develop. Even with direct control over Charon- F’ein is not the only one with influence. In one scene, Charon was visited by a man who only exists in her mind and created by the nanobots. This ghostly figure has already directed Charon to freedom in Neo-Earth but on the other hand, Crimson has shown to possess the same ability as well to appear in Charon’s mind. What does this odd connection mean?

And then finally, you cannot forget about the power struggle for the control over CW. Richard and Seer has overtook the administration but the NSA partnership has created a barrier- so far- preventing mass control. Chane McMahon has acted both as a General DP but as a liaison for the top NSA executives. And at the top of the list of execs is a mysterious identity calling him or herself as Reverend Jones.

Chane delivered a memo for Charon explaining that it would be in the best interests for all if they worked together. The deal was to help acquire enough shares to dethrone Richard and Seer… in return, Moebius is reinstated with the exception that the Presidency is held by a NSA Executive. With Charon gone, Moebius, Spade and Brandon are in the hot seat instead. Will they agree to help the NSA? and now that they know the NSA is far more than a broadcasting company….. who exactly are they?

These are just but a handful of stories that are being played out! Not to mention the side-stories, feuds and challenges that occur at each and every event. With July approaching, and the climax of the summer imminent… what else will happen in the federation which started it all and leads the way? I know for one, I am very exctiting to see what happens next! I cannot wait!

Hey guys! I just want to quickly remind everybody that I am conducting a very important e-course which is a part of my master’s project.

I will not be able to post as much as usual until after March 18th.

I will be able to post off-and-on but mostly during the weekend I will be able to post.

CreatureWrestling has always been about evolving and changing! Not only has CW invented the conventions, standards and setups of how this game is played- but we also take BIG chances to produce the most interesting, and NEW experience in this sport. Nobody can ever come close because CW is not only the homeplace for this sport but we are the ones with the creativity.

CW yet again has evolved into a brand new era. Like the countless other eras before it- this era is filled with suspense and interesting turn of events which keeps the game fresh and invigorating! But above all else, it is the new storyline drama that best describes these eras… and the storyline controversies.

One of the biggest controversies to take place is the actual reason how CW evolved. With aged Network54 come and gone- rises the NSA Network. NSA stands for: Non-Stop-Adrenaline and it is lead by a 3rd party endorsed by the last remaining McMahon in power at the CW, the board of director member: Chane McMahon.

Ever since ECF came into being when Gametalk folks where drawn to the best federation on the planet- the CW- Vince and his children saw a chance to not just get a piece of the pie- but literately to take over CreatureWrestling! ECF was the door opener and in its climax there was a battle between Alex and Vince. In the end, Alex won and Vince was expelled from CreatureWrestling. However, the ECF eventually trickled down to Stephanie McMahon and Dalkiel… but even that attempt went south.

Chane has been working behind the scenes to secure his own authority and has even took up leadership when our Chairman and President have been preoccupied with petty quarreling! Chane even managed to host the Brand Draft- as the CWE District Promoter. Now, Chane McMahon has taken a BOLD step and announced on CM IX that he is the first and only General District Promoter acting on behalf of the 3rd party the elusive NSA Network.

Something smells fishy doesn’t it? Chane McMahon’s power silently grown during which our real leaders have been wrestling with who will lead the CW. It appears that Chane has duped everybody because the NSA is controlled by a completely different company!

But you cannot argue that the NSA hasn’t lived up to their end of the deal and promises. The new network has revamped CW and even B4Pro is back in a form of Reality show which pro wrestlers get to mentor wrestlers.. that well.. either have been proven they need “help” or wrestlers that desire a CW contract.

Even with the CWE and ECF gone, more plans are to unfold which will be explosive- which translates to yet another form of a brand draft soon to come!!

Creature Wrestling has been updated yet again and just in time for CreatureMania IX!!

The biggest unveiling was the revamped bspeak board. After some time working on N54 we decided that it was finally time to close the chapter on that board. So we ran the 10th anniversary show show casing many great memories and even a cool appearence by one of the best rp writers I had the honor to ever work with and to be able to fight with Charon in an old gimmick (but sorry so many things came up we couldn’t get to finishing but I know we will one day )

I am very very proud of where CW is headed. And at the same time sadden to see a player permanently let go of his CW contract. At CW we give chances and maybe more than we should, but overall despite the player’s posting habits- I still want to thank this person for trying his hardest and for sticking in with the e-fed all of these years.

CW has to move on and players must realize that they have responsibilities as well when you signup to play here. We only require at the minimum 1 post a week which isn’t very much but sometimes that is taken for granted.

At any case, I above all else thank Charon for supporting CreatureWrestling and helping me out because honestly without her I doubt I will be still be doing this. I bringup about the past at times because I may forgave but I will never forget- CW still has a long way to go but the truth is that this day and age is much different than it was ten years ago. The audience changed and so does CW have to change to reflect the audience.

That goes right back to why we went to bspeak. Me and Charon have largely held up this e-fed for over five years now. Not too shabby! and I got to say that the creativity between us is unmatched and very exciting. I think that the virus saga HAS to be the best story ever in this sport.

I cannot wait for what the future brings- but whatever happens to CreatureWrestling, I am very happy with the e-fed and glad that I re-opened this e-fed- thus bringing honor, respect and amazing stories. Soon network54′s board will be stopped for good this time (that is unless bspeak breaks apart :X lol) but for sure this is the end and this time, it’s an end that was planned and respected ended unlike how it was in 2005.
